Earth Day has been observed on April 22 every year since 1970. In honor of our beautiful planet, I have posted some favorites from my personal collection of nature inspired photos. Okay, so we still have a week until Spring is officially here, but here in the gallery, spring came a little early! I had SO MUCH FUN doing the new spring window display!! I went out to buy some bright, colorful scrapbook paper and handmade the pinwheels (thanks to Martha Stewart for the instructions 
! You may recognize some of our props from the studio (flowers and butterflies) that I threw in there to make it fun and cheerful. I enjoy looking at it every day – it brings a smile to my face. I hope you all will stop by to enjoy it, too!

With the beautiful warm weather (every other week?), it has been nice enough to prop open the door to the gallery, which I really enjoy! I set out the chalkboard and the doggie water bowl and just let the fresh air in! The open door also encourages passersby to stop in and check out our portrait art.
As most of you know, we have our Spring Mini Session scheduled for Saturday, March 28th. We will once again be having live bunnies! Everyone gets excited about them

Along with the new year came new ideas, so things are changing around here! We are all excited to be giving the gallery a little makeover! We are still in the process, but our biggest change so far is that we’ve moved the ordering area. We cleaned out the backroom and moved the television and chairs back there for more space and more privacy. It has been fun to bring in more color, and we hope it is more inviting for you! Look for more changes, coming soon!
This Saturday, February 14th, we are having our LOL Senior Select Auditions!! If you are or if anyone you know is a rising senior (Class of ‘10), come in to audition to be a Senior Select! All we need are a few quick headshots and an informal interview with you. We will choose one senior from each high school to be our representative for the school. They will receive FREE senior life cards, a FREE wallet book, and FREE websize images for MySpace or Facebook. Just let us capture your senior portraits between mid-March and mid-May – with no minimum deposit required! Then just share your FREE items with your friends. There is absolutely NO obligation to buy or pay for anything!
Due to popular demand, we will also have BFF mini-sessions on the 14th, around our auditions. Prepaid collections start at $24!!

The Christmas season was crazy busy, and while that was tons of fun, I am glad we’ve slowed down enough so that I once again have time to blog! So, let’s back up a bit… December 6th we had our Santa mini session, which was a ridiculous amount of fun! Santa Clause is pretty much the coolest guy ever, as everyone knows. He started out with an interactive story with the kids about his reindeer… the children loved it! The kids had a lot of fun with the pictures, as well. Check ‘em out!
Aahhh, a cruise… exotic locations, beautiful weather, fun in the sun… sounds wonderful doesn’t it? Well, we didn’t exactly get to experience all of that, but we did get to go to the Cruise Fair at the Expo Center on the 16th! We enjoyed getting to take photos of everyone as they walked in, just like on a cruise ship!
As we were setting up and testing the lighting, Val, Kim, and I got a little carried away with the photos… here’s a glimpse at how goofy we can be
We have already had so much fun with our new special edition set – Rough & Tumble!!! Kim brought her kids in for a shoot, I took some photos of my nieces, and Val and I even got a senior to jump in on the fun! I can’t wait until I get my own turn on the tire swing Special thanks go out to Clint for building our swing set and to Sean for helping get the set put together!

Our Enchanted Forest mini-session was a success! Kim and I had so much fun doing the shoots in this set. The kids all seemed to love the costumes and playing with the treasure chest and magic dinosaur eggs It was so hard picking my favorite photos to post, because there were so many great shots!
We have since taken down the set, and while I already miss it, I’m really excited about our new special edition set – Rough and Tumble! More information on that coming soon!

Where did September go? We’ve been so busy here, that October just snuck up on us!
We’ve had a lot going on these past few weeks. Val and Kim shot a wedding at Fawn Lake, Val and I have done two shoots for soccer teams in the area, the Kids’ Convention was a few weekends ago, and we had our Enchanted Forest mini session. In between these and our every day shoots – seniors, families, etc. – we’ve been staying busy here in the gallery. I’m almost finished redoing the front window for fall. It has been so much fun! We’re waiting for the new prints to come in, and I’ve got just a few more details to work on. Make sure you come on by to check it out! The weather is perfect for a stroll through Downtown
